Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far, your support is greatly appreciated.

At the time of writing, there were 352 signatures on the online petition, and five pages of signatures on the paper version from our two campaigns outside Farnworth Jobcentre on Monday and last Friday.

I have now sent the petition to Damian Hinds, Minister of State for Employment, together with a three-page letter detailing why residents, the Public and Commercial Services Union, local Councillors and I feel that it is vital that Farnworth Jobcentre remains open.
