There are many ways that you can get involved, this page describes some of them.

Register to Vote

Any person who is 18 years and over and is a British, Commonwealth, Irish Republic or European Union member state citizen can register for and vote. If you are not able to vote in person you have the option of getting someone else to vote for you on the day using a proxy vote or you can send your vote by post but you must arrange both of these several weeks before the date of an election.
