Today is the closing date for objections

I have been contacted by many constituents who are opposed to the proposed development at Hulton Park, comprising a golf course and new housing estates.  You can view the application here: Planning Application 00997/17

I, along with many others, have submitted a formal objection to the development and you can view my submission here: letter of objection.

When I met representatives of Peel Holdings last year, they showed me what they promised to be an exciting proposal.  However, having read the plans, met residents and listened to their concerns, it is clear to me that this proposed development is wholly inappropriate for this site, and should not be allowed.  This development would encroach onto parts of Atherton, Hulton and Westhoughton North & Chew Moor Wards, and would have a negative impact on thousands of people.  There are already plans in place to build over 3,000 properties in the surrounding areas, and we simply cannot take any more.
