When I met representatives of Peel Holdings last year, they showed me what they promised to be an exciting proposal.  However, having read the plans, met residents and listened to their concerns, it is clear to me that this proposed development is wholly inappropriate for this site, and should not be allowed.  This development would encroach onto parts of Atherton, Hulton and Westhoughton North & Chew Moor Wards, and would have a negative impact on thousands of people.  There are already plans in place to build over 3,000 properties in the surrounding areas, and we simply cannot take any more.
