There are many ways that people can help others, including the most vulnerable, while avoiding physical contact including: helping with food shopping; collecting medication; and staying in touch over the phone or via social media.
NHS Volunteer Responders
Members of the public can sign up quickly and easily and can be called on to do simple but vital tasks such as: delivering medicines from pharmacies; driving patients to appointments; bringing them home from hospital; or making regular phone calls to check on people isolating at home.
