With very little sign of progress, it is clear that the Government has failed to prepare for Brexit and must act urgently to end uncertainties, especially for our universities and the many EU nationals working in our country, contributing.

Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP accepted the invitation to take questions from the Foreign Affairs Committee, of which I was a member at the time of this meeting.

Mr Letwin is the Minister responsible for Government Policy and I asked him about the implications of leaving the EU, both for those living in the UK currently and Brits living abroad.
