Bolton Wedding Venue
Bolton Wedding Venue

Many people in Bolton and around the country will have been preparing to celebrate the best day of their lives.  Getting married is one of the most joyous moments for many families and it was a great disappointment that many wedding days were postponed due to the coronavirus.  Of course, that was the right decision, but as we move forward into the next stages of dealing the pandemic, it is important that wedding venues are given the full support to re-open when it is safe to do so.

Recently, I held video calls with a number of wedding venue businesses in Bolton and across the North West who were concerned about the lack of support and guidance they have been given.  Businesses want to re-open to provide this important service to society but they are struggling financially and have been given little guidance from the Government.

I have written to the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak MP, to ask him what financial support can be given to wedding venues and to Alok Sharma, the Business Secretary, to ask him to give wedding venues as much priority as other hospitality industries.  You can see my letters below.
