Alzheimer’s Research UK has launched a new awareness campaign called ‘Think Brain Health’.

In addition to celebrating everything our brains do for us, the campaign aims to raise awareness of what we can do to protect our brains and keep them healthy.

Although some factors like age and genetics are out of our control, there are some practical things that we can do to keep our brains healthy and reduce the chances of us developing Dementia.

Here, Alzheimer’s Research UK has detailed three rules that we can all follow to improve our brain health:

Three simple rules

The 2020 report of the Lancet Commission on dementia prevention, intervention, and care found that 40% of worldwide dementias could be potentially prevented or delayed.  Some of these factors are down to individuals and some are down to Government policy.

I know that I will consider the graphic from The Lancet  (see below) when I think about my brain health and policies that impact upon these factors.
