Yasmin Qureshi Labour Member of Parliament for Bolton South and Walkden
On 30th October 2024, I spoke in a debate about funding for Children’s Hospices, after the news that Zoe’s Place in Liverpool was threatened with closure due to funding issues. I know how important a children’s hospice like Francis House in Manchester is for families here in Bolton South and Walkden who are going through the toughest time imaginable. I called on the government to set up a central funding source for hospice and palliative care to ensure that no-one is left without the dignity they need at the end of their life, especially when it comes to children.
