Next Wednesday, 24 October 2018, the entries open for the world’s largest IronKids event, which will be held in Bolton in July 2019.

Entry costs £3.50 and you can sign up on the website here: http://eu.ironman.com/triathlon/events/emea/ironman/uk/ironkids.aspx

The event will take place alongside the main Ironman UK event, which is a gruelling triathlon of 140.6 miles around Bolton.  Thankfully, the kids won’t be asked to endure such a testing route, but Ironkids remains a fantastic test of physical ability and endurance.  The contest is open to children aged 3 to 14, and is organised according to their school year.

Bolton has shown an exciting appetite for this event in the past, and the 3,000 places open for children are likely to fill up quickly, so don’t forget to log in at 1pm next Wednesday!

I am delighted about the enthusiasm shown by my constituents towards this event.  It promotes a healthy lifestyle in young people and teaches them to take pride in their hard-earned achievements, which is quality that will take them very far in life.
