I was very pleased to see Rushanara Ali leading a debate today on then deepening Rohingya crisis. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, owing to an urgent meeting in Bolton, but I’ve written to Penny Mordaunt MP, the Secretary of State for International Development, with the concerns I would have raised in my speech. We need a long term, sustainable response to this crisis.
