I am proud to back Martin Whitfield MP’s Campaign, #AnyDisability, propelled by the excellent design of Studio LR’s Lucy Richards. 

This campaign aims to bring in more accurate disability signage, showing that not all disabilities are visible or relate to mobility. Chron’s & Colitis UK’s recent research found that over 9/10 people would challenge somebody using a disabled toilet who they did not believe had a disability. It is so important that we realise that not all disabilities are visible, and we must reach out as a society to support people with disabilities.

I sincerely hope these signs become widespread across the UK, and we start to challenge the idea that only use of a wheelchair can define disability.
