In Parliament, I asked the Foreign Secretary what steps the UK Government is taking to prevent further civilian suffering in Gaza — and whether it will support the recognition of the state of Palestine.
With the situation in the Middle East becoming increasingly unstable, and with so many innocent lives at risk, I believe the UK must play a stronger role in promoting peace, upholding international law, and pushing for a long-term political solution.
The recognition of Palestinian statehood is not only a matter of justice — it’s an essential step towards lasting peace and stability in the region.
I will continue to use my voice in Parliament to press the Government on these issues and to stand up for human rights and international law.
