Citroën has ordered the recall of some models of its C3 and DS3 cars.

If you own one of the models affected, then Citroën should have sent you a letter. However, you can also check if your car has been recalled on the Citroën website:

https://www.citroen.co.uk/maintain/safety-recall-check.html

The recall is being issued over concerns about the safety of the airbags that were fitted in these cars, and it is estimated to affect around 120,000 motorists in the UK. This of course includes drivers in Bolton and Walkden.

Given the scale of this recall, Citroën has said that it is “investigating options of airbag replacement at other sites, in addition to our Citroen network, including at [the owner’s] home”.

I have therefore written to Citroën UK’s Managing Director, Greg Taylor, and asked him to confirm whether Citroën will establish any additional sites in Bolton or Walkden where airbag replacements can take place, or whether it will send people out to my constituents’ homes to replace them?

Along with this letter, I sent him an anonymised message from one of my constituents who has been affected by the recall.

I have posted a copy of my letter to Mr Taylor below:
