I recently spoke in Parliament about the state of healthcare in Bolton, a topic that continues to be one of the most pressing concerns raised by my constituents. In my speech, I shared real stories from local residents—people waiting months for appointments, struggling to access GPs, and feeling forgotten by a system that should support them.

This isn’t about blaming hardworking NHS staff. It’s about recognising the gaps in our healthcare system and pushing for change. From delays in cardiology and mental health assessments to the lack of continuity in GP care, the challenges are clear. I also highlighted the urgent need for better women’s health services and dental access in our town.

Bolton deserves timely, compassionate care. We need joined-up services, better communication, and a commitment to fairness. I’ll continue to fight for improvements that reflect the dignity and needs of our community.
