Labour’s new Mental Health Bill will:
- Modernise the Mental Health Act to reflect today’s standards
- Give patients more rights and a stronger voice in their care
- Improve support for autistic people and those with learning disabilities
- End the use of police cells for people in mental health crisis
Backed by £680 million in funding and over 6,700 new mental health workers already recruited, we are building a system that treats mental health with the same urgency as physical health. With 24/7 support through the NHS App and Young Futures hubs launching in every community, including ours, Labour is delivering the change Bolton South and Walkden needs.
